Website Upgrades

Your Website Is Quietly
Costing You Customers

I help local businesses fix the specific parts of their website that are losing leads — without a full rebuild. I look at your site the way a new customer would, identify what's broken or weak, and fix those things fast.

The Problem

Most local business websites were built years ago and haven't been touched since.

They load slowly, look outdated on mobile, bury the phone number, have weak calls to action, and don't give first-time visitors a reason to trust the business.

The fix is usually not a full rebuild — it's targeted improvements to the parts that matter most. I specialize in finding those specific problems and fixing them — fast, clearly scoped, and at a price that makes sense for a local business.

"I noticed a few things on your site that I think could be cleaned up pretty quickly to make it feel more polished and convert better."

— What I say in my first message to a new prospect

I don't open with "AI." I open with specific, honest observations about your actual site.

The Audit

What I Look For

I review only what's publicly visible — no access to your backend required.

Weak or missing homepage headline — visitors can't tell what you do in 5 seconds
No clear call to action above the fold — people don't know what to do next
Phone number buried or missing — especially damaging on mobile
Cluttered navigation — too many options, no clear priority
Weak or absent trust signals — no reviews, credentials, or real photos
Generic stock photos — makes the site feel impersonal and untrustworthy
Services poorly described — no explanation of who they're for or how to get started
Broken or confusing contact forms — the single biggest lead-loss point
Poor mobile experience — layout breaks, text too small, buttons too small to tap
Outdated content — old promotions, wrong hours, stale blog posts
Weak local SEO basics — wrong page title, no location in meta
Inconsistent contact info — doesn't match Google Business listing

FAQ

Common Questions

Usually not. Most local business sites have specific problems — a weak headline, a broken form, a cluttered layout — that can be fixed without starting over. I'll tell you honestly if I think a rebuild is genuinely the better option, but in most cases it isn't.

I work with WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, and custom HTML/CSS sites. If you're not sure what your site is built on, I can figure that out during the audit.

50% upfront before work begins, 50% on delivery. I use a simple invoice — no complicated contracts for smaller projects.

If you have an active web person maintaining your site, this service may not be the right fit — I'd rather tell you that now than waste your time. If your web person built the site but doesn't actively maintain it, there's often a good opportunity to improve what's there.

Yes — and this is where the combination gets powerful. A website rewrite can only do so much if the photos are generic stock images. If your site needs real photography or video content, I can provide that too. It's priced separately but built into the same engagement so everything is consistent.

SEO agencies typically focus on content volume, backlinks, and keyword rankings over months. I focus on fixing what a real human visitor experiences when they land on your site — and making sure the basics of local SEO are correct. Those fundamentals often matter more for local businesses than elaborate SEO campaigns.
